For Mac Miller Fans, From a Mac Miller Fan
If you know me, you already know how much I love Mac Miller. His music has been the soundtrack to so many seasons of my life — the good ones, the hard ones, and everything in between. Being from Pittsburgh too, it just always felt deeper. Like he got it. Like somehow, in all the noise, he still managed to capture the heart of this city — the heart of people like me.
When I started dreaming about doing a model call, I knew I didn’t want it to be just another cute photoshoot. I wanted it to mean something. To feel like something. And honestly, I kept coming back to Mac. To his story. To the way his music makes you feel like you’re not alone, even on your worst days.
The idea behind this Mac Miller & Ariana Grande inspired shoot was about more than just aesthetics. It was about honoring the kind of love and connection they had, and the way so many of us still carry it with us. Their music together feels like magic and heartbreak and nostalgia all wrapped up into one — and I wanted to create something that captured even a little piece of that.
When I opened the model call, I knew I wanted to find a couple who loved Mac the way I do — someone who felt it the same way. And somehow, I found exactly that. Honestly, they might love him even more than I do. They’ve done their engagement photos here, they come here normally just to have little picnics, and they have such a deep love for Mac and everything he represents. It couldn’t have been a more perfect fit.
This wasn’t about dressing people up to look like them. It was about taking the emotion they gave us and making it visual. About creating a space where people who love Mac like I do could step into that feeling for a minute.
It’s honestly crazy how music can connect people who have never even met. How an artist’s words can feel like they were written just for you. Mac’s music has been that for me — a comfort, a celebration, a reminder that it’s okay to just be human. To mess up, to grow, to love hard, to dream bigger.
Doing this shoot felt like a love letter — to him, to Pittsburgh, to everyone who’s ever found a little piece of themselves in his music.
I’m so grateful to everyone who trusted me with this. The energy you all brought to it was unreal. It made the whole thing feel even more special.
This was for Mac.
For the fans.
For the dreamers.
For the ones who still feel him in every song.
Thank you for being a part of it. 💙🕊️
