Yesterday was a day I’ll never forget — one that was so special, not just because I got to capture a beautiful proposal, but because it involved two people who have been in my life for a long, long time.

Liv and I grew up playing together as little girls. We’ve shared so many memories over the years, and she’s been a friend to me for as long as I can remember. And then there’s Yousaf — we met back in school and became really good friends, the kind of friendship that just sticks through all seasons of life.
About two months ago, Yousaf called me with the sweetest idea. He wanted to propose to Liv — and he wanted me to help him pull it off. I was immediately in. His idea? Since I do monthly session giveaways, he asked if I’d be open to rigging the April one so Liv would win without suspecting a thing.

I knew I couldn’t just toss the giveaway and let down the amazing people who genuinely put in the effort to win, so I chose two winners in April to make it fair — and Liv was one of them. She had no clue.
From that moment on, it was game on.
Yousaf and I started secretly planning everything. We even coordinated with 15–20 members of their families to hide nearby on the day of the proposal. They were all tucked just around the corner — close enough to see everything unfold, but hidden from us so Liv wouldn’t catch on.
I scouted the location earlier in the day to plan out every detail: where the proposal would happen, where the three of us would park, where their families would park (there are two lots at the mansion, so I used that to our advantage — we parked in one, they parked in the other to avoid any suspicion).
When the moment came, everything played out perfectly. She thought she was just doing a little giveaway session with me… and then he dropped to one knee. 🥹
Tears, laughter, champagne pops (we had three bottles show up, just to be sure!) and a beautiful cake to celebrate — it was a moment filled with so much love, so much joy, and so much history between all of us.
I still can’t believe I got to be the one to capture this chapter for two people I care about so deeply. Liv and Yousaf, thank you for trusting me with this — your love is magic and I’m so lucky to know you both.
